Opens Friday May 10th Little Woods k

Little Woods k Certified Fresh by Rotten Tomatoes at 96%

Critics Consensus Led by standout work from Tessa Thompson, Little Woods tells a grimly absorbing tale that marks a commendable debut for writer-director Nia DaCosta.Little Woods, North Dakota, a fracking boomtown well beyond its prime. Ollie is trying to survive the last few days of her probation after getting caught illegally running prescription pills over the Canadian border. But when her mother dies, she is thrust back into the life of her estranged sister Deb (James), who is facing her own crisis with an unplanned pregnancy and a deadbeat ex. The two find they have one week to settle the mortgage on their mother's house or face foreclosure. As bills and pressure mount, Ollie faces a choice: whether to return to a way of life she thought she'd left behind for just one more score or to leave it all behind. A taught and affecting thriller about sisters pushed to extremes from award-winning director Nia DaCosta.

Shazam Held Over k

Shazam k Certified Fresh by Rotten Tomatoes at 90 % on the tomato meter, Critics Consensus An effortlessly entertaining blend of humor and heart, Shazam! is a superhero movie that never forgets the genre's real power: joyous wish fulfillment. .

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson's (Asher Angel) case, by shouting out one word--SHAZAM!--this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Zachary Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart--inside a ripped, godlike body--Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he'll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong). Rating: PG-13 (for intense sequences of action, language, and suggestive material) .

The Mustang Held Over k

The Mustang k Certified Fresh by Rotten Tomatoes at 95% Critics Consensus

The Mustang -- The Mustang finds fresh perspectives in a familiar redemption tale brought brilliantly to life by powerful performances from Bruce Dern and Matthias SchoRoman (Matthias Schoenaerts), a convict in a rural Nevada prison who struggles to escape his violent past, is required to participate in an "outdoor maintenance" program as part of his state-mandated social rehabilitation. Spotted by a no-nonsense veteran trainer (Bruce Dern) and helped by an outgoing fellow inmate and trick rider (Jason Mitchell), Roman is accepted into the selective wild horse training section of the program, where he finds his own humanity in gentling an especially unbreakable mustang.

In September of 1929, the month before the stock market crashed, Milton and Fossie Odem Purchased the Mayfair Theater next to the New Redmond Hotel. In 1937 he purchased the old Mannheimer’s building that had been home to a dry goods store that closed during the great depression and with the help of architect, D. Walter Hillborn, he opened The Odem. In 1947 he remodeled the Odem and built a large blade sign, which stood over the Odem until it was decommissioned as a theater in the 70’s. During the demolition of the old boiler and heating equipment we found 4 dusty old letters. We moved them out of the way and later that night my son Evan moved them around and we then realized we had our first treasure. With the help of Carlson Sign we made our sign out of the original letters that had not been displayed for over 70 years. Yeah, pretty darn cool!
